Chicago Latin Groove: Ladies Singing Salsa, was the only Tropical music band hired for the 2016 Taste of Chicago.
Chicago Latin Groove was founded in 2012, as a Tropical music band. Our passion is to promote the art of Latin music and provide a variety of tunes in: Latin Jazz, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia and Spanish Ballads. The orchestra is comprised of 8 musicians, including a full horn section and three singers.
The singers, all of hispanic descent, have allowed their inner city, Latina roots to mold their music.
Our music is a combination of: seasoned veteran musicians, English and Spanish lyrics, urban upbringing and Latino culture.
Our seasoned musicians have worked with the industries giants such as: Tito Nieves, Sonora Dinamita, Victor Manuelle, Michael Stewart, Manny Martinez, Groupo Mania, and Oro Solido.
Our musical director is a graduate from the Conservatory of Music in Cuba and is best known for his Timba swing but is also well respected as an arranger, and producer.
As performers, we have had the privilege of playing live music at the some of the largest festivals in the city of Chicago such as the 2016 Taste of Chicago, Aurora, Milwaukee and Missouri. We’ve also played at trendy music locations such as: Aurora Hollywood Casino, La Guardia, Hot Water WhereHouse, Pueblo Latino Lounge and The Foundry in Aurora.
While we perform some of the true and traditional songs, we strive to stay up to date with current music.
Our objective is simple: to share the love we have for music and provide you with a superior live music experience.
